Kimito island has long sailing traditions. On the banks and shores of especially Västanfjärd, have sailing ships been built all the way untill the beginning of the 20th century. The original Eugenia was the last yacht still sailing in Finland, with Bolax of Hiittis as its home port.

The current Eugenia is an exact copy of the original. Eugenia is maintained by an association whose goal is to pass on information about sailing and its traditions. Passangers may participate in  traditional sailing activities on board.

During the summer, public cruises are arranged. The whole ship may also be rented to a group for i.e. employee recreation, weddings or birthdays. School groups are given special discounts. The cruises last about 6 hours or an agreed period. We can assist with planning and arrangement.

Adventure Cruise to Örö Island 2017

Yacht Eugenia will again sail to the fort island of Örö in 2017.

Depature dates:

• Week 27: Tuesday 4.7., Wednesday 5.7.
• Week 28: Tuesday 11.7.
• Week 29: Tuesday 18.7., Wednesday 19.7.
• Week 30: Tuesday 25.7., Wednesday 26.7.
• Week 31; Tuesday 1.8., Wednesday 2.8.
• Week 32: Tuesday 8.8., Wednesday 9.8.

Price EUR 48 for adults, including fish soup, coffee and pie. Children under 15 years old EUR 30, children under 5 years for free. 6€ booking fee added to invoice.

Departure from Kasnäs  10 am and back at Kasnäs at 5 pm.

2015 onwards Örö will be more accessible to the public, and also private group cruises can be made.
